Hey everyone!
As you know, I will be competing in the Miss England Semi Finals TOMORROW! (11/06/16)
One of the sponsors for the pageant is Silk Powder. they are fabulous company based in Leiciester that specialises in Hair and Makeup, owned by Bal Gill MUA.
As part of the Miss England Semifinals competition, Silk Powder are looking for a new face to represent their brand. We were set the challenge to recreate some of their looks and take inspiration from their gallery on their Instagram and website!
Personally, I love all of their looks and had such fun recreating them. Their style of makeup is something I do quite often so I was delighted when I saw the examples on their social media pages!
This first look is inspired by one of Natasha Hemmings, the current Miss England and face if Silk powder.
I kept the face quite matte, and used a gold shadow from The the maybelline nudes palette over the lid.
I love the eyeliner used on Natasha. I gave this a go with the black gel 24hr liner from maybelline, but down played it a bit, as I was wearing it during the day for a photoshop with David Freeman that day!
I also switched up the lip from a red to a pink.

The second look I did was inspired by an image I found on the Silk Powder Instagram (@silkpowder)
There was a lot of highlighter used along the brow and cheek bones.
The lip is kept quite soft and nude too.
I used the Sleek Solstice highlighter palette to replicate this, along with benefits Watts-up, Nars Orgasm and Luxor.
I love layering highlighters to achieve this strobing effect!
I'm yet to do a bold red lip! I'll post it as soon as I perfect the classic red lip, winged liner look as seen on Natasha Hemmings!
Check out the Silk Powder website for more looks and a list of their services!
I am looking forward to meeting Bal Gill who is going to give us girls a Makeup tutorial at the semifinals tomorrow! I hope to pick up a few more tips to create the perfect makeup look for pageants!
One lucky girl will also be crowned Miss Silk Powder!
Being a beauty blogger, I love all things makeup and fashion. To be able to be the face of a makeup company would just be the perfect opportunity to perfect my skills, learn new things, promote the brand I will be working for and also keep modelling!
Keep you fingers crossed for me guys!
